Important update for dMAT applicants

Submit your APS documents before your dMAT certificate is available

The dMAT is an additional element in the APS documentation for selected Master’s applicants whose previous degree falls within Engineering, Commerce / Accounting / Finance / Economics, or Business / Management.

Applicants in the affected subject groups for the Summer Semester 2027 Master intake or later Master intakes may submit their complete APS application documents now, before the dMAT certificate is available. APS India can begin the document verification in advance.

The APS certificate can only be issued after the required dMAT certificate has been submitted and checked. All other documents required by the applicable APS checklist must be included in the initial submission.

APS India verifies academic documents and educational qualifications issued by Indian educational institutions for applicants who intend to study in Germany. The APS certificate is part of the documentation generally required for the German student visa procedure.

Applicants should carefully review the applicable APS requirements before starting their application. The APS procedure does not replace the admission decision of the German higher education institution or the visa decision of the competent German mission.
